HannaPlus Properties
HannaPlus Properties is a role-based web platform designed to streamline apartment operations, security, and communication by unifying staff management, resident services, and property oversight into a single system.
Product Overview
HannaPlus Properties is a multi-role property management system built to support five system users: Super Admin, Admin, Contract Staff, Security, and Residents. For clarity and operational efficiency, these users are grouped into three primary categories — Super Admin, Admin, and Resident.
The platform replaces fragmented, manual processes with a centralized system that manages apartments, payments, tasks, security, attendance, and communication — ensuring transparency and accountability across all operations.
My Role
Product Designer - I led the end-to-end product design process, including user research, workflow mapping, information architecture, wireframing, high-fidelity UI design, and usability testing. I collaborated closely with stakeholders and no-code developer to design a scalable, role-based system for complex property operations.
The Opportunity
HannaPlus aimed to modernize apartment management by replacing disconnected tools and manual workflows. The opportunity was to design a unified system that improved operational efficiency, strengthened security, and empowered residents while giving management full visibility into daily operations.
The Problem
Apartment operations involved multiple actors — management, staff, security, and residents — but lacked a single source of truth.
Key Challenges Across Roles
No centralized way to manage tasks, attendance, payments, and communication
Attendance tracking was unreliable and prone to manipulation
Visitor access was manual and difficult to monitor
Residents had limited control and visibility into services and payments
Context and Constraints
The system had to support five distinct user roles, each with different responsibilities and access levels. A major constraint was ensuring accurate attendance tracking without allowing self-reported clock-ins.
To solve this:
Staff and Admins cannot clock in from their dashboards
All physical attendance happens only through the Security dashboard
Staff and Admins can view timestamps but cannot create or edit them
This constraint heavily influenced system architecture and UX decisions.
Design Process
Stakeholder interviews and operational workflow analysis
Role definition and access mapping
User journey mapping across all dashboards
Wireframing complex system flows
High-fidelity UI design
Usability testing and iteration
Developer collaboration for implementation feasibility
Research and Insights
Stakeholder Insights
Manual systems slowed down decision-making and accountability
Management needed visibility without micromanagement
Security workflows were often overlooked but critical
User Insights
Staff needed clarity on assigned tasks, not complex dashboards
Residents wanted transparency and control over payments and visitors
Role-specific dashboards reduced confusion and errors
Solution
A centralized, role-based property management platform with separate dashboards for Super Admin, Admin, Contract Staff, Security, and Residents.
The system enforces accountability by separating task execution, attendance tracking, and security control, while maintaining shared visibility where needed.
Management Portals
The Management portals support system-wide oversight and day-to-day apartment operations. While the Super Admin focuses on high-level monitoring and control, Admins manage daily property activities and staff coordination.
Key Features
Super Admin Capabilities
Real-time metrics for apartments, revenue, tasks, and staff activity
Employee and role management
Financial oversight including income and expenses
System-wide monitoring of attendance and security records

Admin Capabilities
Apartment and resident management
Payment confirmation and reporting
Task assignment to contract staff
Visibility into attendance logs recorded via the Security system (view-only)
Operations & Security Portals
These portals support on-ground execution and accountability. Contract Staff focus on task completion, while the Security portal acts as the single source of truth for attendance and physical access.
Key Features
Contract Staff Capabilities
Assigned task list with progress tracking
Task history and performance visibility
View-only access to attendance timestamps recorded by Security

Security Capabilities
Visitor check-in using unique access codes generated by residents
Clock-in and clock-out system for Admins and Contract Staff
Centralized logs for visitor and staff activity

Resident Portal
Residents are empowered with direct access and control over payments, communication, and visitor access within the property.
Key Features
Payment history and confirmation uploads
Communication with property management
Visitor access code generation for secure guest entry
Outcome
Improved estate security
Reliable attendance tracking
Clear task accountability
Reduced operational friction
Better transparency for residents and management
Key Learnings
Role clarity simplifies complex systems
Security should control sensitive actions
Operational products require realistic constraints
Simplicity improves adoption
Why This Project Matters
HannaPlus demonstrates my ability to design structured, role-based platforms that solve operational problems. It reflects strong product thinking, system design, and an understanding of real-world constraints beyond UI design.
